"KAMEN", a joint-stock company from Pazin (Istria, Croatia) has since 1954 been dealing with quarrying, fabrication and installation of architectural and building stone. "KAMEN" produces limestone blocks coming from its 7 quarries situated in Istria and Dalmatia. Fabrication of stone blocks and production of numerous finished products are carried out at the fabrication plant „Sawmill“ in Pazin. Major part of production is based on the stone named Yellow Istrian (Giallo d'Istria, Istarski žuti) known as Kanfanar as well, on the hard stone named Kirmenjak and on the stone named Valtura. The company has always been export oriented and has permanently been present on the markets of France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, China, the US, Montenegro and Serbia.
